But just in case you haven’t heard of mystery shopping, I will explain what it is here
This is a job in which companies will pay you to pose as a regular customer or ‘shopper’. You get paid to visit businesses that you may already visit and report back on certain aspects of your experience. Those businesses may include gas stations, restaurants, malls, supermarkets and so on.
You, as a ‘mystery shopper’ will pretend to be a regular customer who is shopping in person, making a phone call to inquire about something or shopping online. After you have completed your ‘shop’, you will be required to fill out an evaluation sheet that you will then submit back to the mystery shopping company who you are working for. Upon submission, you work will either be accepted or rejected, so make sure to pay attention to details of the ‘shop’ and fill out this evaluation form well.

Also, most companies will pay you via PayPal and most companies require mystery shoppers be 18 and older to become a mystery shopper.
But is this sort of money making endeavor worth it financially?
To answer this question, on average, you as a mystery shopper can receive anywhere from $5 to $20 per gig, sometimes more depending on the company.
According to a mystery shopping company called Best Mark,
…it is entirely possible for an individual to make an extra $5000 – $10,000 per year, working part-time as a mystery shopper.
Therefore, while you may not be able to make a full-time income from this, this extra money can significantly improve your quality of life, especially since the work itself is not that hard.
