This is my blog income and traffic report for November 2016
November is finally over and in this post, I will share how my third month of blogging went!
This post may contain affiliate links. Please read my disclaimer for more information.
Why I’m Blogging My Income & Traffic Reports
When I created this blog, it was to show people how to make money online through online jobs, online businesses, blogs, websites and so on. What better way to do that than to allow them to see me doing it right along with them, right?
1. I want to be able to document the growth of my blog.
2. I want people to see that it is possible to make money from their blogs and ultimately create a better life with more choices for themselves and their loved ones.
3. I love to write, so I will take the opportunity to write anything!
Plus it’s all the rave these days and everyone’s doing it! Just kidding! I’m not one to follow the crowd, but I am particularly interested in making money and sharing my experiences trying to do so online.
4. The main aim of my monthly income and traffic report is so that someone, somewhere, can learn something from this, and create a better life for themselves by starting a blog too, if that’s what interests them, but they’ve been afraid to take the leap!
So, if you’re that someone who would like to create your own blog, I created a detailed step by step guide on how to setup a blog in 30 minutes or less with SiteGround. If you use my link, you can receive a 60% discount and start blogging for just $3.95 per month (unbeatable value!!!). I recently learned that it is really possible to make money from a blog and I am determined to do this right and have a super successful blog. I would love for you to join me along the way!

I am super excited to share my blog income and traffic report for my third month of blogging (November 2016). I had quite a bit of fun this month getting to know and interact with new people, learning new things, and getting a chance to be creative and do something I enjoy!
I notice that many bloggers start income and traffic reports when their blog actually starts to make money, rather than when they first start their blog. I get this since:
1. Many bloggers start their blogs with no idea that they can even generate an income from it, or with no desire to even do so.
2. Some do not even know the concept of a blog income and traffic report when they first start out blogging.
But, I do, and I want to be different and share the progress of my blog from the very beginning rather than from when it starts to actually make progress.
I’m Sharing My Income And Traffic Reports To Keep You And Me Motivated!
Here’s what I think
I suspect that many people who start blogging quit before really giving it a chance because they don’t seem to see much progress in terms of traffic and income in the first few months of blogging (month 1-3). Therefore, blogging seems useless to them.
Moreover, many people don’t see bloggers ‘like them’ who aren’t making much money and getting much traffic as yet. After all, the blogosphere is filled with income and traffic reports from bloggers who choose to share their income and traffic reports when they ‘look better’ .
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that at all. But this blog is about helping the newbies, like me see full, unedited progress and pitfalls from day one.
I share this in the hope that it will keep newbies motivated and let them see that they aren’t doing anything wrong, they are merely learning and progressing at a typical pace.
Also, if you’re not yet a blogger, I hope my income and traffic reports, as well as all my other juicy articles for newbie bloggers, will help you build up the courage to start your own profitable blog as you see that anything is possible with it no matter what your stats are in the beginning. It will get better, way better, if you do the right things consistently.
A Few Highlights for November
I finally learned how to use Pinterest properly! I’m getting way more than 30 page views from Pinterest now!
I lost access to my website on the 30th of November until December 1st :(. What’s new right? I always find a way to do something to this blog, I swear!
This time I was trying to add an affiliate disclaimer to my blog. One that would automatically show up on all posts that I publish. I ended up messing with the code in the website and locking myself out for more than 24 hours. The good news is that visitors to my website could still access my blog without any issue. This means that my traffic was uninterrupted, which I am so thankful for.
I’m looking into paying someone from Fiverr to get this task done for me. I’ve heard that you can get tons of small tasks done from freelancers on Fiverr for as low as $5.
I received lots and lots of spam traffic from Lifehacker.com and reddit.com on the 29th and 30th of November :(. After much trial and error, I found a solution to getting rid of those spam bots. For anyone going through this right now, check out this helpful video to learn how to filter out spam traffic.
Overall, November was great and I learned a lot! As always!
As you may know, this blog was launched on September 1st, 2016 and this is my third blog income and traffic report.
As you can imagine, I am still figuring things out and getting a feel for what’s to come in terms of work, ideas and so on.
Here is a recap of my previous income and traffic reports:
- September 2016 income and traffic report (very first income and traffic report) $51.29
- October 2016 income and traffic report ($145.89)
My Goals For November 2016: Was I successful Or Not?
Goal #1: Get 6000 page views
I set a goal to reach 6000 page views from my very first month of blogging. I am happy to say that I finally reached this goal in November.
Successful!

Goal #2: Participate in facebook group for a maximum of 3 hours daily
I started to achieve this goal by week two of November. At this time, I had gotten a better grasp of how to use Pinterest and so I started putting in more time into Pinterest.

What do you think of my accomplishments this month? Let me know in the comments below.
Takeaways From November 2016
I set goals (for accountability and focus). I did not accomplish all my goals for the month of November but I am super happy with my progress this month.
At the beginning of every month, I will set some and we will see if I accomplish them! I will outline my goals for December at the end of this post.
But First, For The Takeaways from November
I’m finally beginning to see some progress from Pinterest. I’m super excited about this.
In December, I will dedicate more time to learning better Pinterest strategies so that I see even better results at the end of the month.
In case you want to start using Pinterest to get blog traffic, I suggest you take advantage of this free month trial of Tailwind by clicking this link. This is the scheduling tool I use to schedule my pins. I love this tool guys! It saves me tons of time plus, it gives me detailed insights on how my pins are performing and how my Pinterest boards are performing. I love this since it helps me understand where to put my focus when it comes to my Pinterest account.
What I Did In November
- I updated my Pinterest images and made them more ‘readable’ and attractive.
- I scheduled and pinned 100+ pins daily. Use the free trial of Tailwind to make this easy breezy!
- I also spent some time cleaning up my Pinterest account by getting rid of old pins and rearranging my Pinterest boards.
What I Plan To Do In December
- Continue implementing those practices that worked for me in November. I also plan on learning as much as I can to get better at Pinterest and make my current Pinterest strategy better.
Facebook Groups
What I did in November.
I cut down on the amount of time I spent browsing in facebook groups. I also cut down promoting in facebook group promotion threads! I promote in threads a lot less now. This was super exciting for me since doing this saves me so much time.
I networked more, asked questions and helped other bloggers when I could. This feels rewarding!
What I will do in December
Continue to network and build relationships with bloggers in the facebook groups.
Organic Traffic
Guys this month I received organic traffic from the search engines! To be fair, I have been receiving organic traffic sporadically over the past two months (September and October), however, this month, my organic traffic was more than double the other months. This helps me see that I am doing well in terms of my SEO.
If you want to improve your own SEO, I suggest you read this article on proper keyword research tool, that’s way better than Google Keywords Planner.
Also, read this article on the basics of understanding and implementing good SEO strategies
What were your takeaways from November 2016?

These are fantastic goals!! Great job making so much money for only being three months in! Keep up the good work 🙂
Hi Brittany and thanks so much! 🙂
Congrats on your income! I’ve been blogging for about 6 months now with no luck. But I’m always curious as to how other bloggers are faring. My biggest problem is the lack of traffic. It is nice to see your goals spelled out and how you are doing at reaching them. I hope your income continues to grow!
Thanks so much Matt! Have a look at my freebies section. I explain in detail everything I do to get traffic. It may be very helpful to you!
Hi,
Quick question. You mentioned you’re making $$ through Flex Offers affiliate link. However, I don’t see you promoting any of the products in your blog last month. How did you make that money?
Apologies if it’s a basic question. I’m new to making money blogging and trying to learn more on making money through affiliates.
Hi Uma. Your question isn’t basic at all. I’m promoting the Swagbucks affiliate program from Flex Offers in my post entitled ‘Paid Online Surveys At Home’. I hope this answers your question!
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. And double thanks for sharing the problems along with the successes. So many posts like this only share the upside. Getting ready to launch a blog and this will be very valuable.
Hey Trudy! You’re most welcome. I appreciate you stopping by. Feel free to share your blog with me when it is launched! 🙂
Well done! I admire you for focusing on so many goals at once! I can only manage concentrating on three goals successfully per month!

First, would like to congratulate you for the Income you generated!
Your post is really good, it has inspired me to take up my goals more seriously as well as I have found some areas to work on for my Blog promotion.
Thanks for sharing dear! Appreciate it.
Hello Sushmita! Awesome! I’m so happy that my post has inspired you with focusing on your goals for your blog. I love it! I have to tell you, although I never seem to accomplish all of my goals in any given month, they give me great focus and direction throughout the month! I hope to hear some good progress from you next month! 🙂
So awesome! Thanks for sharing! I’ve tried and tried to get the hang of Pinterest, but haven’t so far. However, reading the things you worked on to make yours more of a success are definitely doable. I hope to implement those for myself soon! I also enjoyed reading your goals for last month and this month!
Hi Bonnie! That’s great! I hope to hear of your progress. Hahaaa! My goals! I hope to be able to achieve them all this month!
Goals are awesome! Results are showing. Keep up the good work. & FB Pinterest Pals lead me here!
So, it does work… New subbie!
Awesome Sorayah! Thank you so much. Woohoo Pinterest Pals!
You every now an than I get to learn so much from so many bloggers. But your blog made me realize how important it is to track upon your targets and than discuss the success and failures so that not only your readers could learn from what you do but also, you are able to put up more effort in the coming month. Hence, doubling the goals and feeling more self confident about doing it. That’s what I wanted for myself. And I learned ! …. From you . Thank you . You deserve to be praised for these efforts.
Hi Marjan! Thank you so much for this beautiful comment! I feel so blessed that my post has helped you out so much 🙂 Thanks for your great words of support and I wish you success with your blogging journey.
This is gold. As a new blogger, I’ve been putting nearly 100% of my free time (aside of that I spend with my kids, of course) – and it’s tough when you don’t see any progress. Seeing a report like this that is real and not “padded” (ie: you didn’t wait until the numbers look good) – helps a lot.
That being said, I’m not sure I can imagine earning a couple hundred in only three months! Awesome progress.
Hi Mike! Thanks so much for your support! You can do it too! Focus on a few fundamental parts of your blog and you will see progress. I focus a lot on promotion on Pinterest and within awesome facebook groups and this helps my growth a lot! You should give it a try too! P.S I checked out your blog and I think you have some very good info on it. Start to add some more promotion into your blogging schedule and you will be pleased with how you progress..Good luck! 🙂
Thanks so much for the input and advice – it’s greatly appreciated! Just to be clear, when you say ‘promotion’ you’re referring to posting/re-posting articles on social media and such, correct?
And keep up the good work..I look forward to seeing a month six income report of $1,000 🙂
Hi Mike, that’s right. I use Pinterest and Facebook Groups for promotion at the moment and they work great to drive traffic. You can check out my freebies section to see exactly what I do to promote each month. Thanks so much for this encouragement and I look forward to seeing you progress too 🙂
